Outdoor Design Patio
This project began with the perfect canvas. The property was mostly a blank slate surrounded by mature oaks perched on a mountainside. The client wanted to fully renovate the front yard and create outdoor living spaces to enjoy the incredible views the property had. The first patio was made with a dry stack wall out of stones found on site and a herringbone brick pattern to match the existing driveway. The cracks were filled with moss and ferns to make the space appear as if it had always been there. The adjacent moss lawn completes the scene and prevents taking a lawn mower down steps. We kept the front yard simple with boxwood along the front with a Kentucky Bluegrass lawn. The client was so pleased with the initial patio space that he had us work on a larger backyard design patio along with a fireplace. We went even further and added a box for firewood and a grill inset for a Green Egg to optimize space functionality.
